how do you mount a 1960-1963 dash speaker?
Hey!
I found this speaker which looks perfect for my needs. I'm planning on running something like that in the dash location and 6x9s in the rear. Only problem is I don't get how its supposed to mount. Looked under the dash and theres nothing there to support it. Also not planning on running a stereo in the stock dash location if that's whats used to hang it. heres the link for the dash speaker: https://www.classiccarstereos.com/ki...YaArcqEALw_wcB any ideas on how to get it mounted in there? |

You need to get kind of creative on these. the Clip goes to a hook that is under the rubber of the windshield and the other is from the strap that went to the originale radio. I put one in a while back and it was a pain. If you dont put the radio in there would be the posibility of running a brace from the lip on the bottom of the dash. Hope this helps.

Here is a great thread of both aftermarket and original speaker mounts - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=581939

On the engine side yes. See? No confusion.
