Here's the truck...

The bed is almost completly rusted out on the passenger side. As a matter of fact, I have no idea how it's staying on the truck!

Here's the deal... I'm thinking about doing a wood flat bed for it. It would be original, not many people have them.

Or should I replace it with another fleetside longbed?

Which would be most cost effective?

Ideas or pictures of flatbeds would be greatly appreciated.

i had a steel flatbed that my uncle made on my K20. for me it sat a little too low, but the guy u sold it to put 3x3 steel tube between the bed and the frame (basically a 3" body lift) and it looked fine afterwards.

You must work in Flaggstaff or somethin' LOL

I would replace the bed myself..............that or make sure the flatbed weighed more than the original bed.
These trucks don't have enough weight over the rear wheels as it is.

I,ve got a c20 with a flat bed on and it,s great if it`s a work bus and here in oz it`s very common to have a flat bed on a truck or ute , it also reduces the weight alot . It`s not a bad way to go but depends on what you want.

Yeah, the truck is originally from michigan, the bed is original, but the cab and front end are from arizona trucks.

BTW, my flatbed was made out of 2x4 steel, 1/8" thick, and was decked with 1/8" steel. it was plenty heavy.

If you can wait for summer, until I get the work done I need to do (hauling) I will me in Az. and the bed is yours for $300.00 LWB minus a tailgate.
