Lets see your non-original radio !

Let's see pics of radio installations, that are not original, either aftermarket, or modified.

Would like to, however with the current situation, my local sound guy has virtually nothing in stock, my Stero/ Bluetooth has been on order for two months, I am on the list, which unfortunately isn’t moving very quickly, I can however show you its home

Re: Lets see your non-original radio !

Many people would consider it a heinous crime these days, but the deed had already been done before I got Frankentruck. As you can see, the hole had been enlarged past what a radio delete plate would cover, so I decided to finish it off and have some good tunes. I did this before I bought a welder. Yes, I will be putting it back to stock at some point

Re: Lets see your non-original radio !

Don't know how well you can see it here. I used of the radio holders and mounted it under my dash. My truck originally didn't come with a radio so I left it alone with the radio delete plate still in tack. I will try and remember to get better picture of it later.

Re: Lets see your non-original radio !

We put this in my son's 65. Was a pain to build, but turned out decent.

You had to turn the left knob to open the face.

I sure did... What I did with it I'll never know.
Edit
If I looked in the original box I'd know. They gave me three of them in the package.

Re: Lets see your non-original radio !

I purchased the screen protectors for my RetoSound Laguna and felt they were kind of hokey especially for the cost. Vert happy with the radio otherwise.

Do the markings on the overlays make it hard to read the LCD Display, or are they transparent when the LCD screen is illuminated ?

Re: Lets see your non-original radio !

The LCD display is still easy to read through the screen protector even though it doesn't become transparent.

Re: Lets see your non-original radio !

My truck still has her dash intact. I tried a retro sound and didn't like it. I use my phone to stream music so I mounted this bluetooth unit along with with a USB charger port and some rocker switches to a piece of plexiglass. It keeps my dash intact but brings me into this century
