Re: New to Me 1966
So welcome to our side of the site. Back in the sixties the big back window was an option and it is less common than the small. Many enthusiasts find the bbw to be more desirable but there are also guys like me who just don't like it. The heaters came in a few different styles too and we have an epic thread about them. It's like 9 pages but it is very good. This is it here... https://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vbo...d.php?t=488618.

Re: New to Me 1966
Some of the option packages will be on the trim tag, down in front of the driver's side foot vent. Looking at the truck, it will be pretty base model. No Custom Chrome, Custom Cab, side trim, probably no Custom Comfort. There are all separate numbers on the tag for these equipment groups.

Re: New to Me 1966
if the build sheet is still in the truck it will be behind the seat on the drivers side usually

Re: New to Me 1966
There you go. First line is trim options, second is paint colour, also shows the (short) wheelbase.

Re: New to Me 1966
Sounds like you have a basic recirculating heater. Not the greatest heater but if it's not a daily driver or not driven much in the cold it is a more desirable option because the deluxe heater take up a lot of space under the hood and are ugly (my opinion). If you get rid of the basic heater there is some demand for others that might want it in order to keep their engine compartment cleaner.
