The truck was bought new here in Mountain View and has been around here all it life. I pulled the head today and found a crack in the block so I am looking around for another engine

Nothing wrong with you. You just know a great truck when you see it! I brought a '64 home last year and with the '68 and '72 I am up to three. (The '72 is a parts truck)

Almost have another 250 rebuilt should have it done soon then back in the truck

There must be a ton of them where you are haha They are getting hard to find in half way decent shape in my state. Bunch of rotted rust buckets up for 10 grand.

I called a junkyard friend of mine and he said he had a couple. Drove out there and they were 292s. Another friend had the 250 I am rebuilding Not to hard to find here yet
