Torq thrust wheels

Thinking of doing a wheel swap on my 72 c10 with front disk's. Going from 15x7 truck rally's to maybe Torq thrust D's 7" and 8.5. I noticed Tire Rack states these wheels don't fit a C10!? Seen quite a few. Truck now has 255-60's and 275-60's. Anyone with input?

Re: Torq thrust wheels

I've been running Torq thrust D's for 20+ years, and change them out every 5 years or so. Some have rubbed the front caliper and some have knocked off weights. I simply clearance the caliper with a grinder in the area of the rub and or repositioned weights. Good luck, Lee

I was just looking at your build thread. Your tires and wheels are the same size front and rear?

In my humble opinion the original Torq Thrust Wheels are still the King!
Cars, Trucks it don't matter.

Best looking wheels ever made/designed

Re: Torq thrust wheels

My forever favorite image of torque thrusts is of my friend's 67 SS396 Chevelle. Maroon, jacked up a bit with air shocks and 10" cast center torque thrust rims. Hey, it was the 60's.

Re: Torq thrust wheels

The torque thrust is one of the classics that will never be out of style. Two more of my favorites were the Keystone Classics as a bit of a different look over the Cragar SS and the Halibrand style wheel that to me was a cooler looking slotted wheel over the classic aluminum slot.

Re: Torq thrust wheels

Installed these 17 x 8 Torque Thrust 2's last Summer. Truck is stock height and tires are 255/60 17 on all 4 corners. No rubbing or binding issues at all. I have the parts and truck is getting a 2 1/2 inch drop spindle and a 4 in drop spring out back this year..
