Mild Tubz and 275/40/20s

Hi All,

I have an 86 C10 that I've lowered 4.5" in the front. I'm wanting to go with mild Slosh Tubz so I can have more suspension travel. Does anyone know if 275/40/20s will have any issues clearing the tubz? Rims are your typical 20x8 with 0 offset. I see most people have 245/40/20s for tires on the front. I bought the truck with these tires and rims and would really like to keep them as I prefer slightly thicker sidewalls.

While we're talking wheel size, anyone know what the widest rim and tire combo is with mild tubz should I decide to replace what I have in the future?

I don't know that many people have them. I haven't even seen many good pics of the inside of the wheelwell to show the difference inside (are they taller, wider, both?). I just visited their website and for our trucks it doesn't look like they list those details. Might be worth reaching out to them.

The tub goes up a couple inches just inside the fender lip. You have to cut your fender structure to install them though. If you are just hitting when the suspension bottoms out and not when you turn the wheel the slosh tubz should work.

Yes, I'm aware I have to cut the fenders. That's not a problem. I thought the mild tubz were also wider overall going into the engine bay further? It certainly looks that way when viewed on their website.

I barely scrape when turning and only under certain conditions. I haven't had time to drive the truck much to determine exactly where I scrape when turning aside from on the inside of the passenger side. Suspension compression is the biggest reason I'm interested in tubz. I'm riding on the bump stops now and that's no fun.

They are wider. I don't have mine installed yet but they look like they go almost to the frame.
