H052 Pinion shaft lock screw.
We pulled the diff cover today to discover it full of something resembling black molasses. The last inch or so wouldn't even drain out. The good news is the teeth all look good with little metal in the goop.
We are going to remove the axles to replace the outer seals but have run into the age old problem of a broken pinion shaft lock screw. I do have a kit on hand to remove it. I am trying to locate a new screw. Does the Eaton axle use the same one as the Dana? And if not does anyone know where I can find one that will work with the H052 axle? As always Thanks in advance. This project wouldn't be happening without this site. Regards, Desert dog |

Re: H052 Pinion shaft lock screw.
I had the screw break in my 12 bolt. I was able to track down some new ones still at a dealership.
I used the information on this page to find the right part: http://www.gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=22421
