they are in stock now for 35.00 a pair (2 bulbs and 2 housings) plus shipping, they are DOT approved and are a direct replacement for the old bulbs.

What are the details? Are these brighter than the originals? I bought some Sylvania Silverstar high performance halogen lights from Autozone. I think I paid about $15 a piece for them. Are yours a better quality? I can still take these back and get a set from you if so. Thanks and sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I have nice safe bright headlights (he he no pun intended

That's a great price. I have a set of those exact lights on my 72 240z, they are a DRAMATIC improvement over the sealed beam or halogen lights. THe H4 bulbs have gotten cheap and are easy to replace as well. (EXCEPT on a first gen Z car...) I recommend them and will get several more sets someday for my 68 and 69 Camaros. I think I paid $70 for the pair from Motorsportauto. Shawn, I'll put a link to this post on the Z car board I do, maybe I can sell some for you.

I didn't realize that H4 lights (which are European spec.) are just coming out in the US. I've always upgraded my headlights in my older vehicles, and even in my newer ones. I wouldn't stop at the standard 55 watt low beam and 60 watt high beam. I use 80/ 100's on all my vehicles. If they are aimed right, people don't notice the extra brightness, and on high beam you have to be going very fast to overdrive your lights (seeing objects and being unable to stop in time). Just don't buy the blue tinted ones, they actually reduce night vision. I actually have a few sets in 80/100 that I would give away!
