Seat spring help please.
Anyone point me towards a source for the 2 upper long seat springs on a deluxe seat?
These ride on top the big coil spring and attach at each end. These rode higher up along ends of foam where it's cut out. |

Re: Seat spring help please.
I did an internet search and didn't see the square style, but any upholstery shop will probably sell/give you a section of the sort of sine wave style that might work.
I walked into a shop and asked to buy some hog rings and they just grabbed a handful and gave them to me. |

Re: Seat spring help please.
LMC Trucks has 'end spring repair' piece, item #6 in drawing.
You will need two, one for each end of the seat, fixes the sagging spring on the end of the seat, especially drivers side. Try to save and re-use the barrel clips when you remove the old/broken spring. https://www.lmctruck.com/1967-72-che...eat-components Edit: also, I dont think that coil spring in your picture is OEM, believe it has been added.

Re: Seat spring help please.
The round coil spring doesn't belong in there it's someones attempt at repairing the broken springs , The seat you have is a full foam base and the broken edge springs aren't reproduced , I have both types of seat frames in the garage that are bare and I'll get some pictures tomorrow and show the difference between them and what you need to repair your seat .
There are a couple pictures in this thread that show the differences between the seat types but I'll get some better pictures . https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=601807

Re: Seat spring help please.
I'll post more pictures later today , The easiest way to repair your broken seat springs is to bend new ones yourself using Music wire spring steel . it's a lot easier than many may think and you can use your broken one as a pattern .
