Looking for GMC dash knobs
Hi all
I am looking for a set of dash (lights, wipers and choke) knobs for a 65 GMC half ton. Everything I have found so far are for Chevrolets. The GMCs are a little larger and completely black. Chevrolets are also black, but a chrome o4 stainless ring. Does anyone have a lead on a place to source these? Looking for new. Thanks, Ken 1965 GMC, it’s been 11 years in the works. Down to the details. |

Re: Looking for GMC dash knobs
Chevy's did also have black (no trim) knobs. I don't they re-pop them, You'd have to ask used parts dealers like (and by asked I mean call):

Re: Looking for GMC dash knobs
I believe they're the same as 1960-1963 Chevy knobs. In the early-mid 60's, GMC was on the "we're not updating just for the sake of change" bandwagon. They were marketing themselves toward utilitarian truck buyers rather than car buyers who were expecting an updated model every year.

Also, the chrome ring on the knobs was only on trucks with the Custom appearance option. Standard Chevys came with black knobs.

Re: Looking for GMC dash knobs
All the original knobs on my 63 Chevy in the first picture.
Second picture has the washer switch knob swapped in. Had to source an original one for that. As stated above, they aren't reproduced in standard form.
