Fender to Cab Seals
I bought a set of fender to cab seals for my '71 Suburban, git I have no clue how they attach. Not sure if mine ever had them to begin with, but they were long gone after the fire. I need to know how to attach them please.

Re: Fender to Cab Seals
To begin you have to have the fenders off.

There is a metal plate that staples to the rubber and it screws to the body. If the plates aren't there your truck didn't have the seals. Good info in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=330391 I think there is three pieces to the kit but it doesn't come with the metal plates. You have to use your old ones. Re: Fender to Cab Seals
I assumed you had the metal. Never assume.
I assume they only came on Cheyenne Suppers. I wonder how well they work. Here I go: I assume GM did the testing to prove it quieted the cab interior. |

May be worth a try while I have my front clip apart, just as an experiment. |
