Whats this?
Doing a front disc conversion on my 59 and these rubber washers are in the box with the calipers. About 1 1/2 inches diameter and 3/8 thick.

Re: Whats this?
Nothing I have ever seen connected to brakes. unless they were used as spacers to keep the pads in a set of loaded calipers in place.

if its not on parts list as part of the instructions. I agree they are just packing material for shipping.

Re: Whats this?
I just had a funny thought, the are probably the spacer pieces/weather seal for some kit that they make that they have been looking all over the shop for.
The only reason that I can figure they would be in that box outside of by accident is as spacers between the pads of loaded calipers though.

Re: Whats this?
Each caliper was in its own plastic bag and both contained one of these washers like they were meant to be there. Spent a hour or so trying to figure out where they go.

Re: Whats this?
Material? Rubber? Can't be a spacer if soft... or it's a very forgiving spacer.
