Best P/S box for 67 C10
Just got done building my new house, and I’ve got my new Bendpak lift and all my goodies set up to continue my c10 build. Engine is done for the most part, so now I’m moving to the steering system. I’ve got my shortened steering column. Now I need my power steering box. It’s manual steering now. What’s the 411 on a fast ratio steering box? Any new ones out I need to consider? Can I use the existing power steering pump that’s on my LQ9 engine in the truck?
Thanks! Posted via Mobile Device |

For the fluid lines I use -6 SS teflon lined hose on the pressure side. On the return side you can use regular power steering hose.
You can get -6 adapters for the pressure side for both the pump and steering box. |

If you are on a budget.....
You can get a Lares rebuilt 13/1 box from Rock Auto. For hoses, I used 1975 Jeep wagoneer hoses and the dirty dingo adapter on the back of the pump. |

Re: Best P/S box for 67 C10
I just did a brand new Borgeson Box on my '85 and BOY did it make a difference. Got mine from Summit Racing as its brand new and did not need a core sent in. Absolutely love the tightness of the steering now.
Not sure if there is one for your year but may want to check their site.
