Key start for 47/54 trucks found
I got to snooping around again yesterday when the invariable " what switch do I use to have key start in my 47/54 truck came up.
I ended up on the Chevs of the 49's page and right there in plain sight is a simple but workable solution. Not inexpensive at 44 dollars but if you have a working lock cylinder and key now it lets you use your lock cylinder and key that you have. This will give you a switch that isn't going to come loose and that uses an actual or your original Chevy key rather than what looks like a cabinet key. https://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail...Positions.html
