Card style MAF
I am doing a 24X conversion on my 96 LT1. My issue is I need to adapt MAF into the air intake tube or air intake box.
The easiest style I can find that I can fabricate from is the card style MAF"s. How do they compare to the screen style? I am interested in the card style since I can incorporate in the intake tube easily myself. |

Re: Card style MAF
On my previous LS swaps I used the screen type MAF. One was on a LS2 (24 tooth reluctor) stroked and re-sleeved to 427 cubes. Per the the tuner there were zero restrictions.
My current 80 Camaro has a 2012 6.2 with the blade type MAF. It hasn't been to the tuner yet. Per the "internet" you have to be a bit careful on the intake tube size. If its too big the air may not pass thru the air blade as needed. The Camaro is scheduled to be tuned mid-September and I will report back. The orange Camaro 2010 6.2 has the screen style. The other pic is of my current 80 Camaro with the blade style. |

Re: Card style MAF
Both were GM. The orange Camaro I used a 6.0 from about 2005? truck. The card style is from a 2012 6.2 truck. Online you can buy the aluminum adapter for the card style.
