1950 GMC s10 chassis 4.8 LS pedal question
Got my 50 GMC swap running and driving. What a blast to drive..
I have noticed that the Accelerater pedal is very touchy. Engine is a 2005 4.8DBW with a 4l60E. Blue and Green plugs on the PCM. Is their a way to adjust the pedal sensativity for lack of a better world with HPTuners? Tach module/pedal/ecm all from same donor.

I don't know anyone that will mess with the pedal programing because of liability issues.
Can you extend the pedal so it's further from the pivot point. Should accomplish the same thing? |

Re: 1950 GMC s10 chassis 4.8 LS pedal question
I've been reading online and find that 100% WOT at 1/2 throttle position would be scary indeed and more dangerous than normal. You would think an enterprising individual would come up with a fix.

Re: 1950 GMC s10 chassis 4.8 LS pedal question
I have the same issue on my 77 k25, way to much throttle way to early. Its a complete 2004 2500hd drivetrain swap. Its only real bad on bumpy roads when the truck bounces and my foot is resting on the pedal. Its not a daily so I havent seriously looked into it. I was going to call banks engineering to see if their pedal monster or theres another called pedal commander can adjust the pedal to make it less sensitive. All of them brag on more sensitive pedal to go fast. I Just the pedal to be more consistant i dont care about faster, its all ready to fast.

Re: 1950 GMC s10 chassis 4.8 LS pedal question
I know you can re-scale the TPS input with Holley so like say 50% of pedal input is only 35% at the throttle body, and then ramps in at the end, guys do it all the time with their "street cars" with big power to keep from blowing the tires off just getting going. Not 100% sure with HP tuners if it's possible, but if you go the HP tuners site and peruse their forums it might help. Found this link https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...ponse-Try-this
