K20 spring options, G50 F60
I bought a 1971 K20 and have been doing some armchair research on the SPID. My question is did all the k20’s come with a RPO of F60 & G50 to make them the 3/4 ton suspension. Or was this an upgraded suspension from base K20’s.

Those are upgrades over the base K20 equipment.
Merry Christmas to you as well! That’s pretty nice looking spid, any more pictures of the truck?

Re: K20 spring options, G50 F60
Thanks! It’s the first k20 I’ve owned, it’s a nice truck. No rust, has had a incorrect repaint, and square body filler doors added for the auxiliary fuel tanks. I’m going to correct those items and put correct looking wheels with caps on.
I’m just trying to figure some of the spid items out. It seems like the heavy springs where an option but didn’t increase GVW? The other option that puzzles me is the locking hubs, shouldn’t that be standard with a K series truck? That’s why I ask about the springs, if the step up to a k20 automatically put down the G50 & F60 options over k10. |

Someone had swapped the bench seat for the bucket & console, otherwise A50 would be shown on the SPID.
And you got a No Spin too (bonus in my book), if its still in there more so if you are in the county as it looks. GVWR is a combination of tires & rear springs. As 57TaskForce says. Nice solid truck there. If you haven't already, refer to https://www.gm.com/content/dam/compa...olet-Truck.pdf

Nice. Maybe an early 71 with OE red hub dials? All the RPOs to qualify for a Custom Camper name plate.
