power steering.

I am having problems with my steering.3/4t 4x4 sub.It has a new pump and belt. When going down the road everything is fine. When parking it can be a bear to turn into a space. There are no leaks and the truck handles good.

probably the size of your tires that box and pump weren't designed for lift and big tires. check with a company called AGR i saw a write up in a mag azine once and i think they have a bolt in upgrade fot these trucks about $500-$700 range

Does it work better if you increase RPM? Kinda tricky while trying to park but give it a shot in an empty lot or something.
I have played with the valve in the back of the pump. Changed the piston and stuff. Mine is better now. The reason I had to do this is my old style keyway pully got trashed. I had to switch to the press-on style. The new pump pulley was bigger, and therefore spun slower. I think that is my biggest problem.

I'm running 275/15, and I have no problems with my power steering. I cant recall off hand, but can't you adjust it like you do the manuals? Is it hard to turn when you do it both directions? Maybe try looking into that.......My .02 cents
