K10 long Bed to short bed Conversion

hello
does anyone know about shortening the frame of a long bed fleet side 65 4X4 to fit a short step side bed?

If you've never done it before, the simplest way is to use a commercial template/reinforcement kit. That's what the previous owner of my truck used. Such as this:

They have a short video that outlines the process. Note that welding the frame is required, even with the reinforcements in place.
