Can anyone identify my frame
The mechanic that worked on it guessed it was a 77 or 78.
It's been cut to a short step side. It's 4x4. My parking brake cable look similar to K5 parking brake mounts.

Re: Can anyone identify my frame
No frame numbers stamped into it? My 84 has VIN's all over the frame. I've counted at least 3 places.) That would be a good start to tracking your birth certificate down.

Re: Can anyone identify my frame
The end of that looks an awful lot like a date to me.

Re: Can anyone identify my frame
That's a part number and date code.
The partial VIN will be on the top of the upper flange of the frame rail. K

The frame might have been too dirty to feel for other numbers. I'll wash it tonight and try again.

Re: Can anyone identify my frame
I'd take a mirror and check the top of the frame rail under the cab. and under the bed Back to where the tank used to be
I couldn't get the link to work but this screenshot should give you an idea of what the vin should look like on the frame. Last edited by mr48chev; 06-21-2023 at 04:54 PM. |

Re: Can anyone identify my frame
Yeah it's possible. I cut some plates to reinforce that weld.
