little edjumucation for you from a 21 year old

The
following are the rules and guidelines for 67-72Chevytrucks.com Discussion
Forums.

Ignorance of the Rules and Guidelines is no Excuse!!!

67-72Chevytrucks.com is intended as a home for ALL 67-72Chevy and GMC owners,
where ALL civil, productive and positive discussions are encouraged. Anything
not meeting these objectives will be stopped. This website, and any bulletin
board forums will not be used as leverage against a site sponsor, company
represented on the site, or moderator, in order to make a point or a valid
point. Keep your personal problems and dealings with the above sponsors,
companies and moderators off 67-72Chevytrucks.com. Any threads or posts meeting
these standards will be moved off the site.

CONDUCT GUIDELINES & ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

1) To post or transmit hate speech, harassing content, threats of violence
against another member written in a serious manner or joking with a hint of
innuendo will lead to 24 hour suspension or up to the Administrator’s
discretion for immediate suspension off the web site.

2) To post or transmit material in violation of copyright laws. Is a no-no.

3) No pissing matches. Its fine to disagree, but once a thread has run its
course, and degenerated into little more than an insult fest, it will be locked.
While this will require a judgment call by the Administrators &
Moderators. The members of this site can keep our moderating to a minimum by
exercising a little discretion and self- control. Keep profanity down to the
minimum or else we will put a 24 hour ban off the forums.

4) Pure trolling, either to upset someone or simply for your personal
enjoyment, is strictly prohibited. If you're here to cause trouble, it
will be a very short stay. Immediate BAN!

5) Posting or transmitting commercial or bulk e-mail through use of this
bulletin board network will lead to a suspension of ones membership.

6) To post here or transmit off-topic and/or link to websites; in regards to
selling merchandise (such as but not limited to t-shirts, hats, bumper
stickers, key chains, coins, etc.) that may represent any current and/or future
marketable interests of 67-72Chevytrucks.com by way of capitalizing on our
platform thru our members without the prior written permission or approval of
67-72chevytrucks.com is not authorized, and is prohibited.

7) No Spamming or Advertising on ANY 67-72Chevytrucks.com board, regards
to any product(s) your pushing, unless you’re a paid advertiser, or have
had the administrators approval! This guideline is for all Companies and
Individuals, using our site to advertise their site of choice or trying to make
money off the members!

8) No inappropriate pictures. No nudity will be permitted. If you have to think about posting a picture anywhere else on this Discussion Forum then it's a good bet you should not post it. To post or transmit content that is legally obscene or that violates child pornography statutes; that contains graphic depictions of sexual acts, or visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct involving children; or that contains depictions of children, the primary appeal of which is prurient.

9) Fraudulent practices or attempts to defraud another will lead to account
suspension and banning. This is in direct reference to items offered for sale,
trade, or leading someone on as a buyer.
I will turn you in!

This also applies to people posting fabricated lies about another user or
business. If you have a real issue, discuss it off the site, but don't make up
lies because you're upset with someone. 67-72Chevytrucks.com will not put up
with this kind of material.

10) To engage in illegal, unlawful, or tortuous conduct or other conduct that
interferes with 67-72Chevytrucks.com’s ability to provide service or interferes
with the rights of others. Such conduct includes, but is not limited to: libel,
invasion of privacy, consumer fraud, unauthorized dissemination of trade
secrets, violation of trademark laws, hacking, or transmittal of commercially
restricted information.

11) All For Sale posts shall have a price or prices, as well as your
location. No bids or auctions allowed here!!! If you don't know the
price of what you’re selling, then you should do some research. If a Moderator
or Administrator here asks you to post price(s) and you have not within a 12
hour time frame, he will delete your thread, period.

12) It is against our policy for someone to post a complaint about a member’s
price on whatever they are selling. If you don't like the price then skip it.
Let it drop to the bottom on its own. They (potential buyers) will figure it
out, why nobody is jumping on that particular item.

13) No posts meant strictly to drive your post count up, or otherwise abuse server resources. If you make a post to drive your post count up, for an avatar etc. two times the number of posts made to increase your post count will be removed from your count, you will not be allowed an avatar untill 200 posts.

Any of these violations will lead to your account being suspended for 24 hours, or more at the discretion of an Administrator the first time and second will be banned indefinitely.

***In addition, members should be aware that in keeping with federal and state
law, 67-72Chevytrucks.com, in response to court order or specified legal
process or certain kinds of emergency governmental requests, may turn over
other information such as the content of e-mail, posts or PM's. We at this
Bulletin Board also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever
information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action
arising from any message posted by you. Please note that unrelated
advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are
inappropriate and will be removed. ***

Tony, As a member of this site we would of course want you to be apart of the community, and not just come here for means of selling your trucks. Remember to please use the right message boards with the correct year. Now a few childish thigs were said from many people. And I closed the thread for a reason. I do not and will not put up with comment that sound like it comes from a 2 year old. And the fact that u made a new topic saying wat u said doesnt say to much you kno. We're like a big family here tony, when someones puts sometihng in the wrong message board. We tend to let him have it in other words. It was friendly banter from other memebers, a joke. Please DO NOT make another thread unless you want to discuss 73-87 trucks. So please guys, how about we stop this.

* will not close thread * But if it gets worse I will.

I do think its funny watching the maturity level lowering while the bullsh*t level rising Everybody knows the rules and sometimes somebody has to stand out (not pointing any fingers here) for everybody else to see what can happen if you don't. I have my own personal problem with authority, but I save that for when I'm off of the board :P

Anyways.. Sleep good everybody!

Mike Reeh, regarding your comments on that other thread (it's locked so i'll post here).

The founder of CT is Tony Schaefer, and i would bet he has nothing to do with this @hole in question. It strikes me as odd you would so easily question Schaefer's morale and integrity. If CT was not a good place for you to spend time, so be it. Seems like it wasn't a good place for a few other people too.

Off-topic, hopefully nobody gets pissed off by this but i'll say it anyway:

I myself try to help people out on both boards, 67-72 and CT. I'm not loosing anything in the process, neither will anyone else. I believe it's a common interest for us Chevyfans to support all Chevrolet related tech boards, to share information and experiences.

I'm not saying we should all jump in the bandwagon and post away on every board, being one big happy family, but continually badmouthing one because of something that happened between it's former members does nobody any good. Both of these boards have many, many more new members that have no idea what happened and may get a wrong impression. We have some awesome talent both here and over at CT, and i'm continually amazed at the amount of knowledge and the length people go to help other board members out.

Keep on truckin'

-Axle

P.S i've got nothing to do with either of the boards staff, this is my personal view and should be taken as one. Enjoy your weekend, i know i will

Rock, as for the CT thing, it was before your time. if i'm not mistaken, he is precisely the @hole in question. he may be a great guy now, and that may be due to the fact that he lost 90% of the members of his 73-87 truck forum, which coincidentally was the busiest forum on the site. where did we end up? 67-72chevytrucks.com. at any rate, that's in the past, and lets leave it there.

Ohhhh yeah.. "schaefer". My bad- but if you re-read my post on the other thread (the one you're referring to) I didnt make one comment (negative or otherwise) about CT. The only point I was making is that tony stewart looks eerily similar (in type) to tony schaefer. Im "over" the whole CT thing, but that hasnt changed my mind about going back.

Boy are you opening a can of worms! I could start my own little flame war. I mean you did just say that I questioned this guys morale and integrity. But really, I didnt. You are more or less putting words in my mouth. Not only wasnt I questioning schaefer's morale and/or integrity, but I will go further and say that I wasnt even questioning STEWARTS morale and/or integrity. I merely commented on his 6th grade writing skills. That is end of discussion IMHO.

Lastly, I would like to say that you seem like an intelligent member with good intentions, therefore I dont want to start off on the wrong foot. Think of this as nothing more than a friendly retort. From one good member (if I do say so myself) to another. Good day, and peace.

OneFaastC10, i was a member there before the unfortunate situation happened, and am a member still. Regarding Schaefer, i've never had any interaction with him. Yes, maybe he needed a lesson and got it.

Mike Reeh, everything i typed in my previous post after "offtopic" was not adressed to you solely, but rather the community. I agree i may have said what i said in a poor way, i don't mean to start a flame war about something as trivial as this. Sorry if i sounded offensive towards you, no bad feelings huh?

Let's not do this when we should be or lol
