Wiring woes
Okay, so I put my new BFG 285/75R16's on and they look awesome, also lift the truck about 2"!! I try to get it started and just as it's about to get going it stops working all together. Lights come on in the dash but no cranking. Now no dash lights, no headlights, nothing! I have power up to the fuse box under the hood, but none on the inside of the cab. Found the wires to the wiper delay module squiggly from heat. I figure the wires at the key switch have shorted...yes???

Sound's like a fuesable link has blown in the power lead to the starter or maybe the power lead from the alternator.
Also check to see if you have a (Bonding jumper=Ground strap) from the engine block to the frame if so make shure it's secure and in good condition. |

Ok I have to correct myself a little bit. I find out now that there's no actual wires at the key like in my trade (heavy equipment). Key just operates steering lock and rods that actuate the ignition switch down the steering column. I won't see the truck again until the weekend so I'll update after that...
