Need: 93 truck shop schematic for cruisecontrol
Anybody happen to have a helm shop manaul for
a 1993 truck...I am needing to know what one wire goes to from the cruise control box, (the one mounted under the hood)...its a solid white wire...leads to something under the dash (I am kinda assuming it goes to the convience center computer, but not sure). If you can help, I would appreciate it. If you have such a manual, email me directly and will try to better describe it. Thanks.. PS: I know this is a long shot... ------------------ 71 Chevy C-10 SWB Fleetside WAS:307w/3-on-the-tree NOW:350TBI/700R4/3.73 See it at www.prismnet.com/~grzanich

I have a Helm's for a '92, and there were some computer changes for '93, but I'll look into it and see what the cruise setup looks like. I bet it's mostly the same.

Hey gmcblu,
That would be great... The wire in question is: WHITE in the 'J' position coming out of the cruise control box (under the hood) and goes inside the cab to a very small 3-pin connector with only this white wire in the 'C' position...The rest of the wires match up with my '89 schematics. Not sure what this does, but my thinking is it signals the convience center to tell it that cruise is either turned on or is engaged. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm having no luck finding the cruise circuit wiring diagram. Do you have an '89 Helm's with the diagram in it? If so, in what section is it found?
I thought it would in some way be connected to the VSS circuits, but I don't see any ties to cruise anywhere.

Are you looking in the big white wiring
and schematic book? -OR- the shop manual like book.... I found the best info in the bigger schematic book. Page 111~113 from the "1989 C-K Pick-Up Truck Electrical Diagnosis and wiring diagram" book Thanks, dont mean to be too much trouble!

I have the all-inclusive shop manual type book. Helm said that the wiring diagrams are included, and I found everything in there relating to the ECM that I needed to do a factory-correct auto/manual tranny double-swap. But I see no cruise wiring diagrams (in the cruise subsection or elsewhere). If I have it I'll be glad to share it with you but I can't find anything yet.

hum,
I looked into the '89 service manaul that I have, and it too doesnt have anything on the cruise circuit...the only real info on this is in the bigger schematic book which is a seperate manual. Maybe I can stop by the dealer here...could get lucky and look at there book. worked with the Dodge dealer for the seats I found.... Appreciate your efforts, Thanks! ------------------ 71 Chevy C-10 SWB Fleetside WAS:307w/3-on-the-tree NOW:350TBI/700R4/3.73 See it at www.prismnet.com/~grzanich
