WTB: Pre -87 Fuel Injection Manifold
I need a manifold for a TBI that will fit a pre 87 engine w/out the center bolt heads. Anybody got one?

no such thing exists. get a regular QJet intake (which you've probably already got), an adapter and TBI from a 454 truck, and put 350 injectors in it.

Actually, I don't need it. A neighbor of mine has an 84 GMC w/an Edelbrock carb and Weiand Intake and is looking to install a fuel injection system. I have an 87 350 w/all that stuff, but since the heads are different I don't think it will fit right? Anyway, he wants to trade me for it so I'd say its a pretty good deal.

If you have center bolt heads, then the intakes are not interchangeable.
I don't know what sort of TBI he's planning on running, but Holley has an adapter plate that mates one of their 2-barrel TBIs to a standard quadrajet intake. If the bolt patterns are the same, it should work for a factory TBI too. Brian |

I know very well that the intakes are not interchangeable, thats the problem. He just wants to run a factory TBI, which is what I have. I'll tell him that and see what he thinks.
Thanks, - Ben

I have modified tbi intakes to work on older heads, you just have to be for sure to not drill too much, and use washers big enough to cover the area that was drilled out. No big deal, I have done it three times with out any problems.
