trailing arms
I am a 67-72 man with little knowledge of the older trucks but my uncle just bought a really nice 66 and wants to change gears in the rear and add a posi it was a six cyl. truck from the factory so I am quessing it has a 4.10 gear. I am suggesting he lose the 10 bolt leaf rear for a 12bolt trailing arm setup! The truck has a 5000.00 small block so he is very traction limited at the moment. I have a 70 model short frame with a six lug coil spring rear and trailing arms I can all but donate to the cause he will just need gears and a posi. Is this an easy swap did the trucks come that way at all?
Thanks in advance Kevin Tolliver

at the inside of the brakes its 5ft 7in, but they should be the same. What i'd be worried about is the trailing arms, mine are about 5ft 1in long(it just snowed here and i dont want to crawl under the truck right now, i'll get back to you with more accurate measurments later).
