On ebay. What is the deal with the hood? Never seen this before.

I thinf they call "pancake" but what I like is the screen door handle so you can open it.LOL

Man why would they lower the center portion of the hood?? I'd still drive it...but not without changing the hood of course...lol...

looks like he installed an oved door on the hood. Maybe he's cooking something off the heat riser while he drives

The hood is very nostalgic of the 55-59 Chevy channelled hoods

There was a blazer last year on eBay with the same type of hood, a board member said that they were common back in '72 and it was used for low wind resistance and better vision of the dirt roads.

It's a off road thing. You get in a tight trail and your trying to crawl rocks it helps.

I have friends that Have plexi pannels in the foot wells so they can see the tires. Fist mud puddle and it's worthless. I was tossing around putting a plexi window in my hood and next to the radiator so I could look through the grill. I know a lot of folks that run no hood and no inner fenders for this reason. Big to do if you live in the desert and not dealing with rain and mud.

To a non 4x4 guy like me it looks like someone was too much in love with the old '54 T-bird hood, and couldn't resist...
