SETTLE DOWN
ITS TEMPORARY! ITS CHAINED (3/8") TO A 3#TON HOIST SECURED TO A 12x8 BEAM BUILT INTO THE STRUCTURE OF THE HOUSE. THE BLOCKS ARE ONLY THERE TO KEEP THE BODY STEADY WHILE IT WAS HANGING SO I COULD ROLL THE FRAME OUT. THE TUB WAS PICKED UP AT THE CENTER OF GRAVITY. DO I NEED TO SHOW THE MATH?
MY LITTLE HELPER WASN'T EVEN ALLOWED IN THE SAME DRIVEWAY WHILE THIS WAS BEING DONE GIVE ME SOME CREDIT, I AM A MECHANICAL ENGINEER BY TRADE.

nothing derogatory ment
I'm sorry I offended you. I have had friends killed under cars so I am sensitive about these things. I'm glad its under control and you are working very safely. Not everyone on here is a mechanical engineer and knows what might happen, comments just ment as friendly reminder. The most recent friend that died was a very very smart 45 year old electrical engineer that worked with our engineering group which included mechanical engineers and that type of work. He was using firewood under an MG and it crushed his chest, his wife found him under the car in the garage too late.
Looks like your going about restoration the right way enjoy your project.

none taken. I can understand how it looks from the picture I posted, it's very hard to see the chains and hoist. I just wanted to clarify that safety was considered first and the strength of materials and rigging points used.
