Blazer tank question
Hey guys!
Does anyone know if a guy can drop an EFI fuel tank sending unit from an TBI Suburban / Blazer / Jimmy into a earlier tank? I've decided I'd rather run with an in-tank fuel pump rather than a noisy inline pump, it'd not only reduce if not eliminate the noise, it would also make my plumbing a TON easier... I've got the fuel pump I need already (45 PSI pump from a vette, bolt in replacement for the 15 PSI TBI pump) just wanna know if I am wasting my time and money if I go and buy a sending unit for an EFI tank to drop into my non-EFI tank...

the EFI fuel tank will have a little baffle/bucket in the middle that holds gas so the truck will never run out of fuel, it also keeps the pump cooler, its really important with fuel injection, because if you get air in the line than some cylinders are not going to get any fuel at all, weres as with the carb you have the float bowls in case that does happen.

The FI tanks do have a pan of sorts under the pump/sender. I do know that an regular sender won't work in a FI tank.

Yes it will work. I plan to do this to my Jimmy when I get the TPI ready.

Oh, hey Capt! Haven't seen you on in a while
I ended up buying a newer EFI tank for my truck, I'll leave the other tank on the old truck and sell it that way
