suspension lift
I want to put 35"s on my 85 k5 blazer 4x4, would a 4" lift be good enough?

With 9" of lift on my K20 and my 35's still hit the front fenders when flexing. With 4" you will be able to go to the mall, but I wouldn't run over any curbs. Any semi-hardcore wheelin' would be dangerous to your fenders.

It all depends on your wheel width. I run tall skinny Q78x16 SuperSwamper TSL’s (35.5”) on 16x7 wheels with a 4” and ORD ½” heavy duty greaseable front shackles and never had a tire rub yet. The truck finds it’s way onto some pretty precarious trails in the CO mountains too.
This picture is not one of them but does show some flex.

I am thinking of using 35x12.50x15 tires on 15x10 wheels. Would that work?

You will not have any problems with a 12.50 tire the problem comes in on the 14.50's
