Rack steering?

I am thinking of throwing a flaming river manual rack on my 87. My question is, will it limit turning radius over the stock box? I realize that frame notching for the steering arms may be necessary, and that is ok, but are there any other things I may need to address? Also, how hard does a manual rack steer? Its gotta be better than running a manual stock box.
