i was wanting to cut my trucks frame and make a custom rear part of the frameand while doing this the costom part to be 12" shorter before the rear tire.and add a custom two link like the one that is sold by if customs.here are some examples of what i whant to do.
"" "" "" can the 12" shortning be done right behind the cab or does it really need to be under the cab. keeping in mind that there will be a custom 2 link suspension added. Last edited by el curioso; 01-03-2005 at 02:33 AM. |

i talked to a guy that shortened a 72 long bed and he told me that a short bed will bolt on to a long bed frame and then all you have to do is cut out in between the cab and behind the bed.
Depending on where you are located it could be really easy to get a shortbed frame and use it. The stock trailing bars can go very low, especially if you put the bags on top of the axle, or on the inside of the frame rail. This seems like the most economical way to me. and it saves time. |
