1972 GMC PU Vin Question
The vin on my truck is...
TCS142Axxxxxx The truck is apparrently a '72 GMC. I have tried a few VIN decoders but none seem to understand my VIN. If I drop the leading 'T' it seems to work. Anyone have any idea what the 'T' means? Truck? I haven't seen any other vins with the leading T. Is this normal? Rick (Proud owner of a new to me '72 GMC mutt) |

72 only vins had an extra letter up front... T was for GMC... and a C was for Chev... example CKE142***** for a 72 chev 3/4 4x4
