bagged
I'm planning on bagging my 72 c10.I'm wanting a very basic setup,I won't be running drop spindles and I'm not planning on any major frame mods other than shock relocation if needed and panhard bar mods (maybe a small c notch if absolutely necessary).I'm wondering what problems I can expect to run into.I've heard that there is at least one board member with a bag set up similar to what I'm tryin to describe and would love to see some pics at ride height as well as aired out just to get better idea.

I would like to know as well, but with spindles and a c-notch. Stock trailing arms with bags mounted where the springs are. Maybe a picture on how low it will go. Nothing fancy, just to control the front and rear at the same time, no side to side, no jumping.
here is a very nice FAQ from MrShelly http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=129463 would like to see the stance for this setup.

Anyone care to donate to the "Get My Truck Finished" fund?

I had pictures but can't find them. I had actually got the pictures from e-mailing brothers trucks and they e-mailed me a couple of pictures from trucks with their kit installed. You can try that. Sorry I can't help more.

good idea bout asking a dealer.I'll have to try that.I agree with ya,MrShelley's FAQ was the one that got me thinkin seriously bout doin this (thanks from me,death threats from my wife ).
I was talkin to Jason at SuicideDoors yesterday, and he was tellin me that the basic kit (#1) with the single compressor,1/2" lines,3/8" valves, single 3/8" port,#2600 conitechs, and 5 gallons of tank would get these trucks up in less than a sec!Is this true?Seems like a stretch to me but what do I know .

I look forward to seeing yours ricecop425.I couldn't wait anymore and decided to order the SD setup. It's on it's way as we speak! I just hope I don't get any nasty surprises with the cross border shipping.Turns out that very few of their mechanical components are american made so I could have some duty charges to swallow .
No one has a pic?

I have sort of the setup that you are talking about, heeres what I have- Large bridge notch in rear with the bags on the stock arms but further foward than the stock springs (gets more lift) because depending on how big of a notch you use it will cut into where the spring was with a longer panhard bar (not long enough), and in the front just airbags with the stock bumpstop cut off, no spindles. I would love to post a pic but I am a newbie and dont know how if someone could enlighten me then please do oh yea no wheelwells anywhere.

Since I had a few of the new Select-a-ride kits in stock, I thought I might as well go ahead and bag the 67 and swap to discs so I could get some pictures.
Basically I am running 2.5" dropped spindles, SD plates with no lower cups (see how it works), 2" blocks in rear with bags in spring location, previous c-notch that steps up to bottom of bed and allows about 5.5" space, bed cut out for pumpkin to fit thru. Right now the rear can go about .75" lower, but am sitting on the notch now, so theat will need to be stepped more, front will go lower, but tires are hitting front inner fenders and sway bar mounts. Hope these help, I couldn't pull it forward to get a clear photo because the front tires are buried enough that it wont roll. |

Anybody know of clearance issues with running a front sway bar with Bags? I hope to run a 1 1/4" Bar on the front with SD brackets and ART bags.
