Cupholder

Anybody build a cupholder for their tranny hump? I'm ready to build something but figured I would check and see if you guys had any good ideas first.

I used a cupholder out of a mid-90's S-10 in the blazer. I have a middle seat where the console was and I made a bracket that attaches to the seat frame mounts. I got the stock bracket for the S-10 too, so I can take out the cupholder if I want to.

i was looking at the one in my 77, its design absolutely sucks. its about 2" deep, and is big enough to hold one of those 24oz insulated coffee cups. cant put anything in it unless its in one of those, or in a bottle with a secured lid. i'm thinking about adding a cd player in it too, so i can have some better tunes. AM/FM sucks!

I have an armrest/console/adjustable cupholder I built for mine, but it sits on top of my bench seat. It is not what you asked for, but I can post a pic if you think it will help.

Funny how things are sparked by pictures on here .Ive found my self looking at the automotive stores here and looking for a cup holder of some sort. The pictures that both of you guys are great hints on how to do it my self to.

Lets go all out and add a holder for the cell phone the pda and a 2nd or 3rd 12 volt outlet....... Best of all I was thinking of buying a second Bezel so I could cut the radio part and put a new updated stereo in. Or maybe a amp to Im getting older so Ill need to turn up the radio.

Because I have a bench seat that is used for 3 people quite often, using the center hump for the location of a cup holder would make it quite crowded for everyone. I also have a 4spd with 4x4 so there isn't any real good place to put one on the hump. I'm considering something that can be mounted toward the front of the doors down low.

JCWhitney had some that mounted along the bottom of the doors. I gave the catalog to sombody, neither my new catalog or the website has them.
I am gonna check the old one that the person has and find the part #. They were only like $9.
