Question 75 column in 86 Cab help

the 86 cab had wipers and hi/low beam and washer on the blinker. I put my 75 column in, It looks like some of the wire color coding has changed. My truck is a 75. Should I get an 86 column or is the wiring not that

What are you doing, replacing an old cab with a newer one on a 75? If that's the case I would try to put a complete "system" either 75 or 86 in in the new cab. I think that would be easier than trying mix and match parts from different eras.

If you pull the cluster and drop the column down, access to the dash wiring is pretty good. There isn't a whole lot that holds the harness in the dash.
