Dante's Peak , Chevy trucks

Built Chevy tough is all I can say,

I know use of GM trucks 73-87 in movies or shows has been discussed before ,but I never saw Dantes Peak until this morning. The Crew cab utility with the burned off tires(lava is hot) was cool ,but my favorite was the deep sea diving Suburban. You don't think that water pooring in from Lindas feet was from the holes in the floor caused by the windshield leaks do you ? DAVE

yeah i remember those things.... good movie... but yeah, it seems 73-87 get the good rep of being badass trucks. Seem the movie under siege 2? Its a crappy steven segal movie, but at one point he steals an 81-82 and hauls ass thru the mountains, pretty badass.

I loved the movie "Commando" when they rip the plug wires outta his blazer and he pushes over the side of the hill and gives chase anyway. That truck was a full convertable and really nice before going over the hill.

Anyone ever watch Hardcastle & Mccormick? I saw this model on Ebay a while ago...thought it was neat. I have never seen the show, or truck for that matter.

The Fall Guy used an 83 GMC long bed 4x4, John in Chips had a early 80's step side GMC 4x4, Burt Renalds drove a late 70's early 80's step side 4x4 in the movie Hooper...

The Fall guy truck was shown in all sorts of forms. Both long and short beds were used, and there were 70's and 80's versions used.

Jons truck was actually a late 70's model.

They were all cool however.

Here is a page I put together with some of them.

True but the main truck for the beauty shots was an 83 long bed...
