Thinking of going with Bucket Seats....

I'm thinking of changing out the bench seat in my 76 GMC to go with some more "modern" bucket seats. I've looked around the internet and found these. I'm thinking of going with the Venice or Newport seats and wondered if anyone out there has had any experience with this company or these seats.

It looks like they offer a "bolt in kit" which allows these seats to bolt into the same holes that the current bench seat bolts into.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike W.

Mike 'Swervin' Ervin has some experience with these guys. They used to be Salesco. I think he eventually got his seats, but it took a really long time and they were hard to deal with and pretty unprofessional.

Well,

Im not shure if that's the guys that swervin used but he went through Hell.

If i were you id'e try to get some locally so you can sit in them and see how they feel and fit your ass.

That's one item i would never buy over the net or even through mail order!

Those type of seats take a lot of cab space and make it hard for anyone that is of any size to sit behind the steering wheel. Take a look at a conversion van outlet and you will see the same seats for them. The seat is really thick and it would not fit my truck and me.

I too was looking at those. I posted a thread asking about the company and the seats. A few members chimmed in and said that they had bad dealings with them. Someone told me to check the BBB, but I never did. They look like nice seats and a good price too. I just got side tracked and never followed up on them.

That, apparently, is Salesco. This is the contact info for the wwwsales.net (the one the poster linked to) domain:

Administrative Contact:

SAN DIMAS, CA 91773-1308

I have never seen anyone say that they had a good experience with purchasing from them.

Well, I guess that settles that then.....I won't be doing business with these guys.....

Maybe I'll just have the old bench seat re-upholstered and call it done.

Thanks,
Mike W.
