Just dawned on me today. My cat was born on labor day 14 years ago and i drove my ole truck home the same day.240,000 miles later and she looking pretty bad. Now has about 377,000 total on it. Guess i got my 1800 bucks worth!! Original block still! Lots of valves and bearings till i rebuilt it a few years back. It aint pretty but its been fun and been everplace from canada to FLA maine to INDY

My most fun trip in my 52 was when I brought her home 9 years ago. Bought her from the father-in-law's farm equipment, did a brake job and tune up, the trip was 100 miles. Generator quit and my wife had to pick up a hubcap. Truck had 63.000 miles and was all original. Tires had last been replaced in the early 60s. She now has a 235, 4.10 gears, new rubber, and about 85,000 miles.

I bet that I have one of the more, take note that I didn't say the most, interesting stories on the board! I have had my truck since 1999 and it only has about three (3!) miles on it! I got it running in time for winter to hit and that next spring I found got it out and found a two inch crack in the side of the block so it has pretty much sat or has been stored since then! So in six years it has about thee miles on it!
