Blazer Rear Window Replacement

I need to replace the rear window on my Blazer and have a few questions:
  1. Does it come out from the inside or outside?
  2. The gasket looks good, but since it is 30-some years old will it be too stiff to work with and require replacement?
  3. Are there any tricks to avoid damage to the hatch and window?

Re: Blazer Rear Window Replacement

Replace the rubber. No matter how good it looks you would never get it back in with a new window. So just cut the rubber off and there will be less chance if breaking the glass getting it out. I put mine in from the inside using the string method. Just like putting a windshield in. I think there was a post in the FAQ section on installing a windshield.

Re: Blazer Rear Window Replacement

I cut mine out with a xacto knife, glass fell right out, gasket went into the trash
