frame swap
I have a 82 4x4 blazer and i am thinking of putting its frame underneath my 69. i havent started taking measurments yet, just tossing the idea around. Has anyone done this or anything similar? i know it wont be easy, just trying to get an idea of how much work will be involved.
thanks travis |

Re: frame swap
i bought a 70 blazer tub that was "resting" on a 73-up blazer frame. the differences that I have found are as follows:
2.5 inch longer wheelbase. body mounts are completely different as well as different locations. front body mounts are too wide to fit between the rocker boxes. that's just the obvious there will probably be more if i really planned on leaving it on that frame. I'm not saying that it can't be done, just saying that it would be much easier for you to find the correct frame for your blazer. That's what I'm doing.
