flip kit

I have a 70 gmc swb and I recently bought a rolling chassis with a flip kit in it.the brackets that the leafsprings sit on look like the factory ones so my question is,do I need to weld these on and if so,should I measure up or down from the ones already welded to my stock rear end for a better pinion angle?or keep them at the same angle that it would be at stock?

Re: flip kit

I'm sure no-one's ignoring this thread.... It's just that 67-72's w/leafs are not the norm for lowering so it might take longer than usual to get someone on here to offer some good info.

Best of luck to ya though.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
