Retirement Truck

Hi Folks, I recently joined the forum and here's my plan. I have a couple of more years at my present job (30 plus driving truck for the same outfit) and then I'll pack it in.
My idea is to find a western/southern 72 Chevy 3/4 ton 4wd 4 speed long bed in need of a rebuild. I've been looking, I'll find one soon. I have done a few truck rebuilds in the past, but that was out of need rather than fun (kids, house payments etc., no $). This time it'll be a crate motor, all new suspension, good paint, etc....
I figure I will have plenty of time on my hands soon. Hey some guys fish, some guys hunt, some sit around and drink all day when they retire. I'll do all of that too, but with a nice truck in my garage.
I will also subscribe to this great source of info, the money and time I save with all the great info here will be well worth a subscription.
Wheres my old "Bow Tie" jacket? Robin

Re: Retirement Truck

Welcome to the board from West Tennessee. I have used that line for over 20 years. (buying it for when I retire) My wife told me the other day I was either going to have to retire or buy more land. That's a no brainer.
