Another New Guy Here!
 Hey guys! Its good to finally be aboard! I have a 57 Chevy 3100 Stepside truck I am restoring and would very much apperciate any and all advice on helping me restore it, for this is my first restore. So if any of you have a Task Force series,55-59 let me hear from you cause I've got questions. Thanks!

Most of us are in variuos states of building so I think you will get most of the help you need here. Another good resource is www.webrodder.com it has a lot of tech articles and a forum of hotrod builders with years of experince.
Get the "GM restoration pack" if you haven't already and the "Assembly manual" for your year. I think 552nd - 59 are almost the same but slightly different between GMC and Chevy. Chevrolet Phone # 1-800-222-1020 you will need the VIN and year of the truck. or write: GM Customer Service Chevrolet P.O. Box 33170 Detroit, Michigan 48232-5170 I don't know if GMC has a resto pack but you may call and find out. The resto pack is free but the manual you have to buy from a reseller. I'm also doing a frme off restoration. Will be all stock (I think) but for the 1965 327 w/ 4 speed muncie.
