Check out these guys... http://www.earlyclassic.com/

They are pretty much the premier suspension people for these trucks. You can call them and ask them any questions. They are extremely friendly and knowledgable and could help you get pointed in the right direction.

Re: Advice On Lowering My 72

I got all my stuff from Gmc Pauls. I have not installed it yet but he has for sure got all the best prices. Check it out. You got disc brakes already? If so 2 1/2 inch drop springs and 2 1/2 drop spindles would be sweet with 5 inch drops in the back and new shocks all around. Good luck. Peace. And

Re: Advice On Lowering My 72

I used ece springs. 2inch in front (SB springs, BB motor!) and 4 inch in the rear. To me, its perfect. still has a little rake to it, but again, no so low that you have to worry about anything hitting etc.

Re: Advice On Lowering My 72

Thanks for the help, that gives me some sort of idea on the different looks, around where I live these trucks are rare, and if you do come across one its either stock or just plan messed up, a person can be told what you need, but until you see the finished product you never know, thanks again, COOL PICS

Re: Advice On Lowering My 72

I also want to lower one of my trucks. My red 68 , my yellow 67 has a nice stance. But in Houston I need Vintage Air before lowering. I drove to South Carolina 16 hours one way to get my 67. And one day training for a fight I saw my 68 by my house for sale. The world is funny that way. I paid less for the red one 68.
