Factory A/C - what parts do you need?
I'm looking at putting together a factory a/c system for the Burb. I've got a condensor, dryer (that is open to the air so will have to be replaced), a couple of firewall a/c housings, a/c bracket and a dash controller.
What more will I need? Some of the obvious things, compressor, A/C lines, a new dryer, water valve and I may or may not have the underdash housing and ducts. What else will I need or should get? BTW it has rear air that I'd like to get working too. Thanks, Ron

I would suggest that you purchase an assembly manual as it has an excellent section on AC including the Burb rear AC and hose routing.

Re: Factory A/C - what parts do you need?
I might mention that a most any GM condenser installed on the older vehicles will work fine. I used one from a Pontiac station wagon that was same width as the radiator but was taller. I feel this larger condenser enhaces the cooling properties of the system. It does simplify the install if you omit the inside/outside air valves. This will then operate on outside air only which has been very satisfactory. I might suggest that you buy a new water valve as any hot water leaking past the valve will degrade the cool air.

Thanks, I'll have a look thru the assembly manual.
