I haven't posted much about the progress on my truck so I figured I would go ahead and do that, just incase anyone cares

. Just started strippin it down a couple days ago and i'm starting to find all of the little secrets she has in store for me. Lots of bondo as you can see. I've only stripped the paint and sanded so far all of the bondo was there. I start to redo all the bodywork tonight

. Wish me luck and I'll keep everyone updated. I'm still unsure of the color. It needs to be a light solid color or Possibly a metallic. I'm thinking Orange or silver. Let me know what you think.

Pending on the shade of orange I would say go with orange. Like this one

Hey 4x4, nice truck,I saw it at Pate and wanted it bad but I had already bought a truck 10 min. before I saw that one.Did you buy it there are was it yours to sell? Good Luck!

Ya, I'm thinkin orange. I like that truck, kinda what I had in mind. Ya I bought it at pate. there were two other trucks (i think they were 69's) I had in mind and then i saw this one and had to have it. but the other ones needed a LOT less work. Small world that you say it there. Thanks guys.

Looks like a solid start. I'd go with orange myself.

Orange gets my vote, but maybe a burnt orange like the camaro's in
the late 90's to early 00's, not like the copperhead metallicy kind

classic example of "cave-n-pave" or so it seems. maybe they just pounded in the studs and threw on the filler.

either way, what kind of process do you have in mind for repair?

Shoot, that's nothing, where's the giant rust holes? Exactly

Looks great. I hope they welded the holes closed and not tapped em in and bodoed em

Well, due to lack of time since i leave for the Air Force on sept. 26 I am hoping to have it done by then and the fact that its not a high value original truck I'm just gonna grind out the old bondo and put on the new

. So far there isnt too much rust. just the passenger side cab corner(very little). I'd really like to take the time to weld up all of the holes but due to time I really dont have a choice. Still lots of work left to do.

Well I've completely changed my mind again and I believe I'm pretty sure this time. The truck is gonna be Yellow. It was one of my first options and i've gone back to it now. It needs to stand out and I think yellow would be good for that. No more progress today or yesterday due to having to work on the boat. Needless to say I'm tired ( waxing a 30' boat by hand will wear you out). Hopefully work will begin again as usual on monday.
