Hey Jim -
Find out if you get a discount if you order 2 - and order me one as well - I'll pay you back. (Get me one even if you don't get a discount if you decide too)

Re: Superlift VS Skyjacker
Mine is not stainless as you can see the surface rust in my pics. I would call and order because they will need to know which side is up / down. According to the lady who took my order it will matter so the dampner is facing the right direction. IE they could build it however you needed it.

Re: Superlift VS Skyjacker
I don't think Flaming River has the Vibration Dampner. Thats the best part.

Re: Superlift VS Skyjacker
speakin on tires, Mickey Thompson just came out with a new tire called the MTZ, i just put them on my Yukon, 38x15.5. i love them, they are a lot quieter than the 33inch mtr's on the 72' and the 39's that came on the Yukon. i just put those flares on too, cut 2inchs all the way around..

Re: Superlift VS Skyjacker
sweet tires. And rig for that matter. But I've had 3 pairs of baja claws and never got more than about 17K miles on them. How you suppose these will wear?

Re: Superlift VS Skyjacker
from what i hear, they wear awesome, this had some 39.5x18 claw's on it when i bought it, so i know what you mean. these MTZ's are radial's and i have put just at 1,000miles on them and i couldnt be happier, I was very nervous when i bought them becase they were mickey's, but i think they got there act together. I guess only time will tell, so far they seem to be night and day better than the claw's. they dont wander, bounce, or anything the claw's did for that matter, and really are suprisinly quiet with the windows up.

I appriciate the suggestion and i will look into another set of mickeys. Honestly i absolutely hate these swampers, so somthing is changing soon. I had picked out the toyo (les Schwab) 37x14.5x15 but i will certainly check out the mickeys and weigh cost vs reviews etc.... My truck does ride a liitle better after this weekend. I put RS9000's in the back and dual RS5000 in the front as well as switched out my dual steering stabilizer. I think with the vibration/ujoint and some new tread I should be able to almost stay in my own lane

Re: Superlift VS Skyjacker
I hear ya! i had rebuild the front end of the yukon when i bought it! it only has 64k miles! it was sooo scary to drive, the steering wheel had like half a crank of "play" and the claws went the oppsite direction you wanted them to go. hahaha
I orignally bought 36x15.5's but realized it needed 38's. luckily i didnt drive it far and the tires still looked brand new, Desert Rat took them back . the 36's where i think $365ea and the 38's where $405ea. My ride quality is sooo nice, the thing honestly rides like a caddie, which is nice for staigh driving but freeway interchanges and be SCARY. It gives a whole new meaning to bodyroll. hahahahaha -Cameron

Re: Superlift VS Skyjacker
I also found out a bit of interesting news from the salesmen at desert rat, from what i understand, Pro-comp bought out mickey thompson and as we all know mickey thompson bought out dick cepek.
Pro-Comp, Mickey's and Dick Cepeks are all the same guys.
