Re: 69-72 carpet strips (differences)
I have owned several blazers and seen different combinations in them. My 70 has those angled strips in it front and back, My 71 Has the round over front and back. The back has the extra lip for the weatherstripping. Have owned another that was angled in the front and rounded in the back. i think the angled was the 1st version and rounded was 2nd. I think when they were cranking these things out it was sorta of like with camaros. Grab what was available on the line and keep it moving

Gotta love new chrome I've been thinking about doing that to my chrome bedrail strips that could use a "touch up." Your photos have me sold now.

Thanks 6772king, question has come up several times, your the first to be able to explain it. Your chrome job looks excellent. As soon as, or if I ever, get all the pieces I need they will all go to the chrome shop at once.

Re: 69-72 carpet strips (differences)
SS Model with chrome??? What's an SS? Super Sport Blazer???
My Blazer is a 72' CST and it has the chrome rails for the top where it bolts to the bed. It also has chrome trim on top of the bedside panels.
