Air bag vs Springs $$$
I have a 1968 stepside longbed 1/2ton. It has 4 springs. They are shot..gone..kaput..they have had it basically. I was looking at lowering it.
I am curious to the price difference in air bags and just brand new springs. I know some more pieces or what-not will be required to lower it...so anyone have a rough guess to what i should pay if I "PAY SOME SHOP" to install it all for me..i dont have the tools or time to do it myself sadly.. Also, any certain brands that are decent in price and quality? I was think about a 4"front/6"back drop..but i dont want to scrap on everything...do you think i will with a 4/6 drop?

Re: Air bag vs Springs $$$
For bags I would expect you would pay at least four times the price as new drop springs, if you install yourself. That everything, bags, fittings, air management, etc.
If you are just doing drop springs you can install all four in a day with minimal tools. There are a lot of threads on this board covering both topics, try a quick search and see if that helps.
